Are Green Laser Sights Better Than Red

Not sure it makes that much difference in laser sights.
Are green laser sights better than red. Different wavelengths in the visible spectrum produce different colors. Jason mackay 4 years ago. The human eye is better able to recognize colors in the green spectrum so a green laser is more visible under bright light conditions. Red light waves range from 620 to 750 nanometers and green light ranges from 495 to 570 nanometers.
Red is higher on the spectrum at 635 nanometers. You will have a much easier time seeing a green laser in broad daylight than red. Green can be used inside or out but green is much more visible outside and can be used to engage targets in similar circumstances. From the target s point of view having a red laser dot on your chest is very impactful.
Green is close to the center of the visible light spectrum at about 532 nanometers.
